Latest issue of Sanctuary out now

I had the pleasure of visiting and writing about two Brisbane homes for the latest issue of Sanctuary magazine. One, on a bush block on the outskirts of Brisbane, is designed by architect Brian Steendijk with robust elegance to endure for its ageing owner and future generations. The other, designed by Maytree Studios is a home for a young family who wanted to engage more with their block. Maytree explored many solutions but arrived at a happy solution where the extension pushes through the original home and wanders through the newly landscaped garden at ground level. Both projects are thoroughly considered and creative responses to their site, the local climate and ongoing occupation of their clients.
